Paphos Municipality employees on Thursday went on a two-hour warning strike at 10am accusing the management of violating labour agreements dated December 14, 2021.
An announcement by trade unions SEK, PEO and DEOK of Paphos said the Municipality of Paphos of not implementing yet the filling in of 22 labour positions.
The agreement provides that this would have been done by January 31, 2022 the latest. Along with the promotion of three secretarial officers by March 31, as well as the payment of arrears to the Welfare Fund of employees.
Unions and staff also argue that prolonged opening hours of the Municipality’s Traffic Department is also a hot ad disputed issue.
