A 30 year old man was on Tuesday jailed for two months, stripped of his driving licence for six months and given six penalty points by Paphos District Court for a series of driving offences, including driving under the influence of alcohol.
The man was stopped in the Paphos district in August 2017. He was found to be driving with a learner’s licence without being accompanied by a licence-holder.
Moreover, he had no insurance or road tax and had not obtained the car owner’s permission.
He was also driving 12 times over the limit, with an alco-test reading of 110μg%. The legal limit is 9μg%.
