‘Authorities’ in the Turkish-held north are turning the ‘Burhan Nalbandoglu’ hospital in occupied Nicosia, to a pandemic institution.
Αccording to the so-called health minister Ali Pili, haemodialysis and oncology units will keep working as normal, but the rest of the departments will form part of the pandemic hospital.
Doctors and nursing staff at the pandemic institution will undergo regular coronavirus tests and will be put up in various hotels and hostels for their safety.
The ‘Kolan’ private hospital will be the main reference institution for the rest of the emergencies and incidents, with doctors transferring there to assist.
Emergencies will also be sent to the Kyrenia and Famagusta hospitals and a further two private institutions.
