A 28-year-old Pakistani man was knifed to death early on Saturday in the old city of Nicosia by a young Indian national, also in his 20s.
This is what police told Philenews, adding that the alleged perpetrator who also injured but not badly a 24-year-old co-patriot of his is on the run. The injured man tried to stop him from killing the Pakistani.
Financial reasons seem to be behind the crime which took place around 1am on Salaminos Avenue, police also said.
