The island’s Department of Meteorology on Monday extended the orange warning for severe weather until 11 in the morning on Tuesday.
The orange warning for heavy and prolonged rain was in effect until Monday afternoon.
“A combination of locally prolonged and temporarily heavy rain is expected to continue affecting the area periodically,” it said.
Total precipitation is likely to locally range between 85 and 110 millimeters per 24 hours, it added.
