Only 19 people were booked overnight for breaking the lockdown after 2,273 police checks from 6 pm on Monday to 6 am on Tuesday.
Police also carried out 911 checks on premises and booked four for violations of the decree to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
As regards the decree on the restriction of movement police carried out the following checks:
Nicosia: 628 checks, 4 booked
Limassol: 708 checks, 9 booked
Larnaca: 254 checks, none booked
Paphos: 227 checks, 3 booked
Famagusta: 199 checks, 2 booked
Morphou: 128 checks, none booked
Police HQ traffic unit: 70 checks, 1 booked
MMAD: 59 checks, none booked
