A 37-year old man, from Pafos district, has been arrested in connection with police investigations into a case of stealing electricity from EAC (Electricity Authority of Cyprus).
According to the police, four interconnected shops the man owns are said to have been illegally supplied with electricity, after he seems to have tampered with an EAC meter, in one of these shops.
The electricity consumption was not registered, police say.
The tampering is said to have taken place in 2013 and the estimated cost is around 30,000 euro.
