A coronavirus case was detected in the endoscopic department of Larnaca General Hospital.
Information states that the case concerns a nurse who works in that department and it was detected late afternoon Tuesday.
The Department was closed today and disinfection is being carried out while it will remain closed for the next seven days.
The nurse will remain quarantined for 14 days.
Two patients who were being treated at the Endoscopy Department were transported by ambulance to Limassol General Hospital and the rest were taken to Nicosia General Hospital.
All scheduled appointments patients at this Department, are postponed and they’re expected to be rescheduled within the next days.
At the same time tracing of the nurse’s contacts has begun to determine whether anyone else in her close environment has contracted the virus.
