The countdown for the opening of schools might have begun however, some schools are once again construction sites because the program of upgrading by the Technical Services of the Education Ministry is in progress. At the same time, there is a plan about projects that will begin within the new school year.
According to the Education Ministry, in 2022, projects in 17 schools amounting to 11.1 million euros have been completed or will be completed by the beginning of the school year 2022-23.
Projects of a smaller scale, amounting to 761,000 euros, have been completed or will be completed in 16 schools by the beginning of the school year 2022-23, while other small-scale projects amounting to 347,000 euros will be in progress in another nine schools in September 2022.
Due to the fact that a number of schools will once again be construction sites, the Education Ministry pointed out that all necessary provisions regarding security and readjustment regarding the schools’ functionality, have been taken.
