Michael Mouskos, Meteorological Officer, said temperatures will remain high at least until next Monday and recommended particular attention to fires which can easily be caused due to the combination of dry and hot weather.
Asked about the climate changes and the heat waves affecting other countries of Europe as well, Michael Mouskos said our summer has so far been normal. As he explained, it is different to have 40 C in the United Kingdom and different in Cyprus.
