A 17 year old youth has undergone surgery after seriously injuring hisĀ hand with a fire cracker, CyBC reports.
It said that a little after midnight, police were informed of an incident in Engomi, Nicosia
They found the youth in an apartment block which is still under construction. He told police that the fire cracker had exploded in his hand when he tried to throw it.
He was taken to Nicosia Hospital and from there transferred to a private hospital in Limassol where he underwent surgery.
CyBC said that the fire cracker had amputated the youths thumb, index finger and part of the middle finger.
