There is a new turn in the investigation into the accident at a station of the Electricity Authority of Cyprus, following the death of the 48-year-old technician, who had been recently treated in Athens.
The investigation is expected to cover the possibility of criminal responsibility and the Authority may be taken to court not only for compensations but also for the death of the technician, particularly if it is proven that he was assigned duties that should have been carried out by another group of employees.
All political parties and the trade unions of the Electricity Authority, as well as the Authority expressed their condolences to the family of the deceased.
