As of Monday, 3 October, and until the completion of the project in November 2023, new traffic arrangements will be in place in the wider area of the old GSP due to work for its redevelopment.
Specifically, the right lane of Grigoris Afxentiou Avenue will be reserved and so will be the lane of Vasileos Pavlou Street, an announcement by the Nicosia Municipality said. It also noted that Vasileos Pavlou Street will continue to operate as a one-way street with the temporary abolition of the current parking lane.
During the work that is expected to last 24 months, no cars will be able to park in the area of the old GSP.
The Nicosia Municipality apologised for any inconvenience noting that the project is extremely important for the town.
The project is co-funded by the EU Cohesion Fund, the state budget, and the Nicosia Municipality.
