An orange warning for extreme high temperature was issued by the Meteo Service.
It is valid from 01:00 after midnight until 1700 on Thursday.
According to the warning overnight the minimum temperature will fall to around 27 C inland and over the northern coasts.
On Wednesday the maximum temperature will be around 43 degrees inland and around 35 over Troodos highest peaks.
