New Nicosia Hospital ICU built

Construction of a new ICU at Nicosia General Hospital has been completed and the building was officially handed over on May 1, five days ahead of schedule, the state health services organisation (Okypi) said on Monday.

Okypi thanked OPAP Cyprus for contributing €1.3 million for the construction of the project.

It also thanked Α&Α Apostolides Contractors and the joint venture Eracleous Electrical Installations & Aircontrol LTD for completing the project ahead of schedule and contributing   €50,000 (which was the award for completing the building ahead of schedule) as a donation to buy the equipment.

The new ICU will be equipped in the next few days and begin operation before the end of the week, Okypi added.
