The National Guard will present its new equipment in the military parade on October 1 in Nicosia, Phileleftheros reported on Tuesday.
The new personal protective equipment increases the force’s operational readiness and fighting capability, Phileleftheros reported.
It comprises a ballistic helmet, the regular vest inside which soft or hard ballistic protection can be added, a warrior belt, a daypack, gloves, and so forth.
The same protective equipment is used by other modern armies. The materials have been tested on the battlefield and can be modified according to the needs and mission of the National Guard members.
