President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou had on Friday her first exchange with the President of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades, after taking up her duties.
According to an announcement made by the Presidency of the Republic, President Sakellaropoulou reassured the President of the Republic of her wish to continue the excellent cooperation the two countries have until now.
She also expressed her determination to support the struggle for the reunification of Cyprus and the abolition of guarantees and intervention rights by third countries.
President Anastasiades congratulated and thanked President Sakellaropoulou and extended an invitation for her to pay her first official visit to Cyprus, when the conditions permit, which she accepted.
