Not long after a section of the Paphos-Polis Chrysochous road near Yiolou collapsed leading authorities to create a temporary bypass, new problems have emerged on the same road only a short distance away.
Residents in the area have noticed dangerous cracks in the road and alerted the community council of Yiolou which is in touch with the Department of Public Works.
Secretary of Yiolou community council Sylvia Antoniou told philenews that the problem arose about a week ago, however authorities have still to take action. She expressed the hope that the problem will not become as acute and lead the road to collapse.
