Just after midnight a clash occurred in the center of Limassol when a 30-year-old, who was intoxicated, attacked a 27-year-old student from Uganda. Police forces who rushed to the scene found the student with an injury on the head and called an ambulance that carried him to hospital.
The 30-year-old from Romania was arrested and according to information and testimonies he attacked the student because of the color of his skin.
An arrest warrant for causing bodily harm is expected for the 30-year-old.
The student from Uganda received first aid and left the hospital.
