A necklace worth €7000 was stolen from a home in Chlorakas in the Paphos district after the owners of the house left a bedroom window open, CNA reports.
It said a complaint was filed that the necklace was stolen some time between June 5 and 6.
Police officers who visited the house found that access had been gained from a bedroom window which had been left often.
Police investigations continue.
