The National Guard conducted a joint exercise with the UK Royal Navy on Monday.
According to an announcement, the exercise took place on Cypriot waters with the participation of the National Guard Navy unit and the Royal Fleet Auxiliary.
The forces simulated tactical movements and forward manoeuvres, aeronautical cooperation with helicopters, responding to asymmetric threats and communication exercises, among others.
“The exercise promoted interoperability and highlighted the excellent relationships between the UK’s and Cyprus’ armed forces,” the National Guard said.
