President Nicos Anastasiades on Tuesday appointed Stelios Nathanail as new president of the Supreme Court.
He succeeds Myron Nicolattos who is retiring.
The swearing in ceremony will be held on Thursday morning at the Presidential Palace.
Born in Limassol in 1953, the new president of the Supreme Court studied law at University College, Cardiff and then qualified as a barrister at Gray’s Inn. He worked as a lawyer for eight years before he was appointed judge in 1987, rising through the ranks to the Supreme Court.
