A 17-year-old was caught driving a vehicle without a drivers license in Polis Chrysochous.

According to the Police, at 19:00 yesterday in Polis Chrysochous on Evagora Pallikaridi Street, members of the Paphos Traffic Police signalled a vehicle to stop.

Instead the driver flet the area.

He was later tracked down and identified as a 17-year-old male from a village in the Polis Chrysochous area.

The 17-year-old was driving the vehicle in question without a drivers license, with no insurance policy, without a seat belt and without the consent of the owner.

He also failed to stop when signalled by a police officer in uniform.

The minor and his father, who is the owner of the vehicle, were taken to the Polis Chrysochous police station where they were formally charged for the above offences.

The Paphos District Court will preside over the case.
