Members of the Fire Service managed to rescue a citizen from a rainwater drain in Sfalangiotissa area of Agios Athanasios in Limassol.
According to information, residents of the area saw the man’s finger coming out of the drain and heard him calling for help.
They immediately informed the Fire Service, members of which rushed to the scene and managed to rescue the man.
The Fire Service spokesman said the man was in panic and disorientated and they had to get firemen down in three different drains until they found him. According to information, the man entered into a drain in a different area and walked to the point where he was found. He was taken to the Limassol General Hospital.
