Police on Sunday arrested a 37-year-old manicurist in connection with theft.

According to a police statement, before the arrest, a 38-year-old man filed a complaint, saying that his wallet containing, 4,800 euros was stolen while it was placed on a kitchen counter at his house.

Police said that since there were no signs of a break-in in the house, the man suspected a 37-year-old manicurist, who had visited the house to treat his wife’s nails.

Limassol police arrested the woman who confessed after interrogation.

She returned the 3,300 euros, claiming she had spent the rest 1,500.

Police also found three credit cards on her and following investigations it was ascertained that one belonged to the 38-year-old man, the other one was stolen from another house where the woman had been to provide a manicure, and the third was stolen from a letter box.

Limassol CID is continuing investigation.
