Police are reported to be looking for a man who chained his Ukrainian wife by the foot in order to prevent her from consuming too much alcohol, Philenews reported on Tuesday.
It said that the 36 year old Cypriot man had chained his Ukrainian 38 year old wife by the foot in the attic of his pub.
Police were called to the scene by neighbours and found the woman chained to the rail. She told police that her husband wanted her not to drink too much.
An arrest warrant has been issued against the husband for kidnap and domestic violence.
