A 33 year old man is in serious condition in Nicosia General Hospital after a knife attack on Tuesday.
According to police, the man was with two friends in old Nicosia yesterday afternoon, when an argument started between them.
One of them, a 48 year old, is believed to have stabbed the man and then fled.
Around 5 pm police were notified that the 33 year old was taken by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital.
Officers who arrived there, found him with stab wounds to his stomach.
The 48 year old was later arrested and charged with attempted murder.
He reportedly admitted that he attacked the 33 year old who is in serious condition.
Police are continuing investigations.
