Man injured after Limassol parking dispute

A Greek Cypriot man is under arrest on suspicion of injuring a Romanian following a parking dispute in Limassol.

The incident occurred around 9 pm on Sunday. Police were alerted to an injured manĀ  on Ismet Pashia street.

They found a man, who appeared to be drunk, with knife wounds. He was taken to Limassol hospital with injuries to the liver and lungs and is in intensive care. His condition is described as serious but stable.

Reports said the victim — who was reported to have been holding a knife — had reprimanded the Greek Cypriot over the way he had parked his car.

He then broke the car window and was injured when the suspect tried to to push him off.

The 64 year old is under arrest on suspicion of causing serious bodily harm.
