A 69 year old man in an electric wheelchair was killed when he was hit by a car in Nicosia on Saturday morning.
Michalis Savastides is the third person to be killed on the island’s roads in less than 48 hours.
He was hit by a car on Constantinipoleos Avenue in Nicosia’s Kaimakli area at around 10.45 am on Saturday.
Police said the driver of the car has been arrested.
An 84 year old man died after his car plunged down a ravine in Ayios Epiphanios yesterday afternoon while a 70 year old woman was killed near Akaki when the car she was in collided with another vehicle early on Friday morning.
