The Famagusta District Court has remanded a man in connection with assisting third country nationals illegally enter Republic of Cyprus territory.
The 37 year old, remanded for five days, is the fifth man to be arrested in the past week over the same offence, as authorities are stepping up efforts at pushing back on human trafficking.
Famagusta CID is investigating, focusing on accomplices and the possibility of a network operating in the area.
