Police on Sunday arrested a 29-year-old man who was driving at the speed of 190 kilometres on the Limassol-Nicosia highway, near Latsia suburb.
The speed limit at the spot he was stopped is set at 100 kilometres.
The arrest, at around 3am, came after he refused to provide a satisfactory alcohol test sample.
He was reported in writing and will appear before court at a later date.
