A 44 year old man from Nicosia was arrested yesterday in connection with a child pornography case, following a tip off from Europol.
According to the European organisation, a social media user with two accounts, sent a video file involving the sexual abuse of minors.
A police investigation led to a 44 year old man living in Nicosia, who was arrested yesterday and his mobile phone confiscated on the spot.
Three computers were confiscated from his home and their data will go through forensics, along with the suspects’ mobile.
He was remanded in custody for six days this afternoon, by the district court in Nicosia.
The cyber crime unit is investigating the case.
