Paphos police have arrested a 42 year old man on suspicion of attempted burglary and inebriation.
It said that it had been informed that a person was moving suspiciously in the Universal area.
A police patrol found the 42 year old non-Cypriot holding a torch and trying to enter the home of a Briton.
He was immobilised with arresting officers also determining that the suspect was drunk.
