A 56 year old man is under arrest in Paphos on suspicion of chopping down 70 trees in an apparent property dispute in Stroumbi.
The suspect was reported to have disagreed with the sale of a field in Stroumbi by family members to a fellow villager. He demanded the field be transferred to him, and when the new owner refused, he took a saw and razed 70 trees in the field.
The 56 year old was arrested after a complaint from the 52 year old buyer on Thursday. Police are investigating,
