A 40 year old man apparently frustrated by stay-at-home rules, ended up spending the night in police custody after causing a disturbance in his Geroskipou neighbourhood, philenews reports.
Police said that a little after midnight, residents had telephoned to complain that a neighbour was causing a commotion.
A police patrol found the 40 year old Cypriot sitting in his stationary car, engine switched on and revving it noisily.
When told by police to switch off the engine and get out of the car, he started shouting insults at the police officers. He was arrested and taken to Paphos police station.
On Friday morning he was charged and released to appear in court at a later date.
