Mainly fine on Wednesday with some dust in the air and a yellow alert for very high temperatures in effect between 12pm and 4pm.
Temperatures inland will rise to 40 C inland, 29 C in the mountains, 34 C in the south and east coasts and around 32 C in other coastal areas.
Winds will be variable, light to moderate, force three to four Beaufort, over smooth to slight seas.
Temperatures will drop to average seasonal ones as from Thursday, according to the island’s Meteorology Service.
