Mainly fine weather on Friday with an orange alert for extremely high temperatures issued – in effect from 12pm to 5pm.
Temperatures are expected to rise to 43°C inland, and to 34°C in the higher mountains according to the Meteorological Services.
The public is required to be aware of the expected high temperatures and the potential for health risks among vulnerable groups such as the elderly and young children.
