High pressure is affecting the area and the weather today and over the long weekend will be mainly fine, with some cloud cover at intervals.
The met office said that Friday will be mainly fine. Temperatures will be 21 C inland and on the south and east coasts, around 19 C on the remaining coasts and 12 C in the mountains.
Tonight will remain mainly fine. Temperatures will drop to  7 C inland, around 9 C on the coasts and 3 C in the mountains.
Over the weekend and on Monday the weather will be mainly fine, though there will be increased local cloud at intervals.
Temperatures will remain at the same levels, which is a little higher than average for the time of year.
At the time of issue of the early morning weather bulletin there was 45 cm of snow on Troodos Square.
