Local showers and isolated thunderstorms island-wide are on the forecast for Wednesday.
A thunderstorm warning has been issued from 5am till 4pm with the Meteorology Service saying the showers rate may exceed 35 mm per hour.
Winds will be moderate to strong, force 4 to 5 Beaufort, blowing easterly to north-easterly over slight to moderate seas.
Temperatures will rise to 26 C inland and in coastal areas and around 15 C in the mountains.
The fire hazard is high in all forest areas.
