Limassol: Teenagers arrested for drug possession

Limassol police arrested in the early hours of Thursday two teenagers aged 17 and 19 for illegal possession and use of drugs, philenews reports, as well as possession for the purpose of supplying drugs to a third party.

According to the police, patrolling officers spotted two individuals inside a vehicle parked at a Limassol parking lot, and after a preliminary check of the car they found 32 g of cannabis as well as an additional 15 g found in the 17-year-old ‘s possession.

The two were then arrested and remanded in custody. Further investigations found that the car was driven by a 23-year-old from Limassol who was contacted by and then appeared at the offices of the Drug Law Enforcement Unit.

A new search of the vehicle was conducted in the presence of the 23-year-old that uncovered two precision scales with traces of cannabis.

The 23-year-old was then also arrested and remanded in custody to facilitate questioning.
