The Limassol Municipality has installed feeders and drinkers on the beach for the hundreds of pigeons of the Olympians Coast in Limassol, the CNA reports.
According to an announcement issued on Tuesday, the Municipality’s move came in response to relevant calls from the public and the installation of the feeders and drinkers took place in the presence of Limassol mayor Nicos Nicolaides, who said that the birds constitute a beautiful addition to the scenery.
Nicolaides added that the pandemic does not only affect humans but also animals, many of which have been deprived of human care due to the restrictive measures, reminding that the Municipality is also caring for the city’s stray cats.
