There are three species of venomous snake in Cyprus, but only one is dangerous to humans.
The blunt-nosed viper is the most dangerous venomous snake in Cyprus with a toxin capable of causing death to humans.
He had mangd to kill th venomous snake before going to the hospital all by himself.
Insiders said that even though he was given antivenom serum from day one, the 75-year-old presented serious complications and that’s why he was promptly admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.
This was due to the large size of the snake whose poison penetrated very quickly into the body of the man and led to multi-organ failure.
