A 24-year-old man was caught on Sunday afternoon trying to furnish his friend in custody at Limassol police headquarters with methamphetamine hidden in a juice box, philenews reports.
The man arrived at the detention centre carrying a bag with food and juice cartons requesting that they be delivered to his 26-year-old friend held there, but after officers checked the bag they found in a straw inside the juice box methamphetamine weighing 0.5 g.
The man was then arrested for being caught in the act and was remanded in custody.
Further investigations implicated another individual, a 25-year-old man, who was also arrested to facilitate questioning.
The Limassol arm of the Drug Law Enforcement Unit (Ykan) is investigating.
