Police have made a fifth arrest in connection with the discovery of 72 kilos of cannabis at a warehouse in Zakaki on May 27.
The 28 year old man had been sought by police for the past two weeks. Four people — three men and one woman — are already under custody and have been referred to stand trial at the Limassol Criminal Court on July 2.
The anti-narcotics unit had found the drugs in four cartons that had been delivered from Greece by ship through Limassol port to a warehouse. They replaced the drugs and staked out the warehouse arresting first two men aged 31 and 36 who they stopped on the Limassol-Nicosia highway.
They then arrested a man aged 27 and a woman aged 45 after obtaining testimony against them.
