Limassol: Driver involved in collision tests positive for drugs, alcohol

A 32 year old driver involved in a collision which led to the serious injury of a delivery man in Limassol last night has tested positive for alcohol and drugs and was arrested

The accident occurred at around 9.00 pm when the 32 year old attempted to enter Grivas Dighenis Avenue from a side street, cutting off the motorcyclist.

The 26 year old, a Pakistani national permanent resident of Cyprus, was taken to Limassol Hospital with multiple injuries. His condition is described as serious but out of danger.

The driver of the car underwent a breathalyser with an initial reading of 34 mg — above the legal limit of 22 mg and also tested positive for drugs and was arrested.
