A 37 year old man  was remanded in police custody for six days as police investigate a case of assault, causing serious bodily harm and exercising psychological violence.

The man, a Limassol resident,  reportedly hit his 42 year old partner and then called police to come quickly because she needed to be taken to hospital urgently.

Police who went to their home found the woman lying on the bed, bruised and bleeding.
