Larnaca lifeguards saved a man off Mackenzie beach, after he was spotted calling for help near the water depth signs.
The young swimmer was exhausted in the water and began calling out just after one thirty. He was brought ashore, with the assistance of airport lifeguards, who had a rescue speedboat.
The sea was rough due to high winds.
The swimmer was advised to visit his GP as a precaution.
