At the orders of Attorney General George Savvides, the Legal Service filed an appeal at the Supreme Court against a person who has admitted that in two different cases assisted the passage of illegal migrants from the non-government-controlled areas to the government-controlled areas for money.
The Limassol District Court had sentenced the man to a 12-month imprisonment, which the Legal Service believes is insufficient.
