“Larnaka Land of Tomorrow” to benefit coastal town’s generations to come

Relevant News

The “Larnaka Land of Tomorrow” landmark 400,000 square metres development project aspires to become one of Cyprus’ most attractive spots for tourism, business and residential living.

It was presented on Monday by Petrolina Group which is driving the project and the message sent out was that the investment will be reaping benefits for generations to come.

The plan envisions the development and transformation of Larnaca’s northern coast into an attractive destination.

The architecture firm behind the project is Foster + Partners whose senior partner Ben Scott stressed that the city’s history was a source of inspiration.

The aim of Land of Tomorrow is the creation of a new, sustainable, mixed-use waterfront development that will be the catalyst for further regeneration of the city and the wider area, he also said.

Philenews reports that great satisfaction to Larnaca’s stakeholders is the assurance that – at least in the area owned by the Petrolina Group which has the lion’s share – no towers or very tall buildings are in the plan.

Instead, emphasis will be given to green development and unhindered public access to the 2.5 kilometres of beachfront to be released to the public.
