Larnaca district court on Tuesday sentenced a 30 year old man to 30 days in jail for drunk driving, police announced.
They said the man was stopped for checks at 10.20 am on October 9 on the Limassol-Nicosia highway, near Mari.
He underwent an alco-test with a reading of 179 mg% — which is eight times the 22 mg% limit.
He was charged and was today sentenced to 30 days in prison and banned from driving for six months.
And in Paphos, a 36 year old biker booked for dangerous driving yesterday appeared in court today where he was fined 1500 euro, had four points added to his licence and was banned for driving for three months.
